Seed-izens, Regenerators, Earthlings and Stewards for our precious planet. What a beautiful journey we are all embarking on together. In case you missed the last Constitution Assembly call, please allow us to give you the summary.
The call took place on 8 October 2020 and was attended by at least 75 people from around the globe, listening and sharing. We started off the gathering with Anneloes Smitsman grounding the potency of this moment, reminding us of the power of collective action, evolution and co-creation. By focusing our will into this co-created constitution we can bring into reality a more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible.
The bulk of the call was then filled with members of the SEEDS community sharing their wisdom, perspectives and excitement to grow this global renaissance. For those of us at Hypha, this was an incredibly humbling, deeply encouraging and heart-expanding moment. We’re so excited to share this with you and invite you on our next sessions as we dive even deeper.
The evolution of the co-creation of this constitution, as we see it, is as follows:
- 1st Constitution Assembly: Setting the stage, 22 April 2020, Earth Day. We went over the Constitution article by article talking about the purpose of each section.
- 2nd Constitution Assembly: Expansion, 8 October 2020. We expanded our awareness of what a constitution means, what it’s meant to ground into reality and the foundation it can play as a co-created compass to guide and unite the regenerators through this renaissance.
- Between calls: integrating feedback into the Constitution. We invite anyone with wisdom to share on the document in this co-creation process.
Upcoming Assemblies
- 3rd Constitution Assembly: Intercommunication, 15 October 2020. We’ll be going over the Constitution in its entirety to gather feedback, fill in the gaps and refine the collective wisdom. At the start of the call we’ll announce a couple breakout group topics whereby people can discuss in small groups. After the breakout sessions, we’ll come back together to share all the wisdom we harvested. Everyone will be able to rewatch the recording to see the other breakout rooms! We’ll end the session with a Q&A for the remainder of the time
- Between calls: integrating feedback into the Constitution. We invite anyone with wisdom to share on the document in this co-creation process.
- 4th Constitution Assembly: Deep sense-making 22 October 2020. This will be the opportunity for everyone to digest the wisdom of the previous session and examine its integration into the changes. We will be sensing into how this works and making final suggestions.
- 5th Constitution Assembly: Final refining, 29 October 2020. We’ll be going over the whole Constitution to refine/add/modify/wordsmith anything we collectively deem is necessary, until we are satisfied with this constitution as our founding document. If there is not a clear consensus we’ll have a sixth and even a seventh assembly as necessary.
This journey is one we are all on together! We can’t wait to continue co-creating with you all!
Reminder: The constitution is a living and evolving foundation. This task is to simply set up V1.0 to start the game. All changes to the constitution will require a referendum vote by SEEDS Citizens. This is a chance for all of us to be a part of forming the constitution for a new type of civilization, one that’s regenerative by design, governed directly by the people and for our planet.
