The call was co-facilitated by Dr. Anneloes Smitsman, PhD., LLM, Founder & CEO of EARTHwise Centre and Rieki Cordon, SEEDS Alchemist and Facilitator.
Before beginning, Anneloes reminded everyone that by not controlling the process, the intelligence, wisdom and genius of the community of SEEDS opens up. This constitution breathes, lives and exists in the spirit of how we want to live together on this planet. Even in the most conservative traditional law, when it comes to changes, one must always look back at the spirit of the document and its intentions, reminding us that this constitutional work is sacred. It guides who we are together and what our moral compass is. Effectively, it is legacy building, which is especially important in times when things are difficult. She therefore asked everyone to call upon our collective genius to clarify the core values outlined in article 4 of the Constitution.
She then led the group into a guided meditation to hone in on the innate wisdom within us for this work. Anneloes asked us to project into the future to see the Constitution as if it’s already complete and bring that wisdom back into the changes we viewed during the session.
After the meditation, we collectively shared key takeaways from the meditation in the chat (found here). Some of those takeaways included:
- We are cosmic beings, who need to take care of our planet earth.
- We need to move away from nation-state construct to a strategically global community.
- We will start from and go to the moral compass. All points will come back to that compass.
- The constitution needs to have a full integration of masculine and feminine values.
- Many felt the gratitude from future generations for the work we are doing now.
- True values create value, values in alignment with the universal principles of love.
- There was a sentiment of evolution vs revolution.
We then began diving into Article 4 – core values. To go deeper into the value and meaning of this article, we broke out into small groups of 3-4 people to discuss. The recording of the call takes a peek into parts of the conversation in several of the groups before reconvening back as a whole group.
When we returned, groups shared their wisdom. Suggestions included:
- Include nature as the cure.
- Condense some of the values together.
- Suggest 1-line definition for each.
- Add inclusion, accessibility, diversity not just humans, but animals and plants as well.
- Add respect [for all life].
- Align with natural values.
- Include something on interconnectivity, transparency, and self determination.
- Include the difference between truthfulness and righteousness.
- Mention something around group-minded responsibility as response-ability
- Include an attitude of altitude, altitude meaning of the highest expression
all requires awareness. - Play is regenerative because it is joyful and therefore putting joy into the world will bring even more in a reciprocal manner.
- All of the above require safety.
These nuggets of wisdom will be collated by our facilitator Rieki as we continue additional assembly calls at a different time to accommodate other time zones more conveniently.
