“Live your passion contributing to the Regenerative Renaissance while earning the economic means to pay your bills”.
This is a paraphrase of just one of the impressions I had when was first digging into the SEEDS ecosystem, reading through the constitution, game guide, SEEDS library, watching informative videos and participating in many Zoom meetings……..
Sure! who wouldn’t want that one 🙂
So I signed up for the journey, applied to the Ambassador Academy, participated in even more meetings, studied for hours on end……somewhere this magic key to the promised land of goodness must be hidden, I thought…and continued….and continued….until I realized “Bloody Hell! It’s not going to happen! At least not anytime soon!”
So what was the mistake?, what is the flaw? I started to ponder…..is SEEDS failing to deliver the promises it made OR??? maybe did I create unrealistic expectations?…. after choosing the second option the next thought appears “O.K. but I still want to live my passion and get my bills paid by doing so” how to go about it? well, SEEDS provides me with amazing tools to create the change I want to see in my world, but it is my responsibility, my challenge to use these tools and make it happen.
So this is just one example of what is possible:
On Friday, 25th of June 2021, the first exchange of goods for Seeds cryptocurrency happened when Leticia di Santi and Claudio Taroco drove from their home base in picturesque Punta del Diablo, a beautiful, colorful beach resort town close to the Brazilian border all the way to my house in La Barra, Maldonado.
Leticia and Santi founded “Jardin Primitivo”, a company which makes high grade compost from local sawdust and local waste products from the fish market.
They also offer the installation of “biodigestors,” small units which turn organic waste into natural gas for cooking/heating purposes and produce biofertilizer as well.
They brought a gift of plant medicine and two bags of their excellent compost with them.
I am a SEEDS Ambassador, starting to build up a bioregional network with great enthusiasm. I am also a beekeeper who works with Africanized (a.k.a. “Killer Bees”) bees in the natural reserve “La Quebrada de los Cuervos,” a place famous for its biodiversity and high density of medicinal plants.
Our raw honey is simply supreme and only available for payment in Seeds :-).

Goods exchanged hands, Claudio paid Seeds for Miguels honey and Miguel paid Seeds for Lecticia & Claudio’s compost.
A new milestone has been reached, another step towards “Living my passion while earning my livelihood” has been taken.
To be continued….
