We began with France Huot helping us tune into our bodies to feel into that innate inner knowing. She led a little shake and encouraged everyone to move their bodies. She reminded us that we are designed for ease and grace, and to trust that within ourselves.
Before entering the breakout rooms, our Facilitator, Rieki Cordon, shared a story from Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens about how anglo-saxons succeeded in navigating the world in part because of the empty spaces they left on maps, which encouraged continuous exploration. He asked that we consider this idea of empty spaces with regards to 2 sections of the Constitution.
The first is Article 5: Stewardship responsibilities, which was then discussed in small breakout groups of three people.
When everyone returned from the breakout groups, each circle had the opportunity to have a representative from their group present the conclusion of their discussion. We called this Harvest Gathering whereby we gathered the harvest of our collective discussions.
Some Harvest Gathering results shared included:
- concept of an oracle, someone who can answer questions as we go,
- measure stewardship against a marker such as soil regeneration,
- collective sensing and reflecting,
- duty coherence,
- action driven by collective consciousness,
- conscious consumption and options to implement change,
- significance of the 7 generations to impact change,
- stewardship must start with ourselves,
- do no harm,
- listen to what the earth can provide and adjusting ourselves accordingly, and
- action towards that change.
Our facilitator asked a probing question of what earth stewards already exist and how can we bring in that knowledge.
The next empty space in the Constitution resides in Article 11. What are we missing? What should we include that we haven’t? And, thus began the second breakout room for small group discussion.
Some of the second Harvest Gathering results shared included:
- reach out to all other conscious projects and build bridges for them to join SEEDS;
- in order to share the same vision and purpose, we need to help people raise their level of consciousness to ensure inclusion, but not through force, always leaving a door open for second chances; raising human consciousness ensures that we include others as ourselves, the earth as ourselves, and we will organically be drawn to our essence;
- this could be the magic article that could continue to change each month based on the current needs of the movement;
- this article could represent the individual and/or include a mission of self work and/or an indication that this is bigger than the confines of Earth alone, extending it to beyond our atmospheric limits;
- an acknowledgement of the smaller voices of the organism as it grows, providing a safe space for the smaller voices to share.
The session was closed with an idea of evolving these weekly calls into the Ambassador Academy to leave a space for incoming Ambassadors to learn and share and grow with each other and with the movement.
Such an epic forum and everyone had a great time. We continue to welcome feedback from the community on the Constitution.
