SEEDS is designed as a financial ecosystem that rewards regenerative behaviours and finances the creation of a more beautiful world.
It’s also a game and a journey. Players in this realm earn rewards for contributing (through reputation points) and building new tools to support the Regenerative Renaissance.
One type of these rewards is the gifting of Seeds, the digital currency, for helping grow the SEEDS community by inviting individuals or organizations into the system via the SEEDS Passport, a mobile App that can be downloaded on Apple and Android phones. Seeds, from a total of 3.14 billion Seeds created in November 2019, are held in treasuries for rewarding players who invite new individuals or organizations to the eco-system, and to create gifting economies in organizations, bioregions and as rewards for participation in campaigns.
How do you do this and how does the referral system work? Read on!
Earning Rewards by Onboarding Individuals
Send invites through the SEEDS Global Passport.
Once you have installed the free Passport App, you will easily find the button that says “Invite”. First, you enter the number of Seeds you want to gift the person you invite. You can send a minimum of five Seeds or as many as you wish. The person you invite will use those to set up their free account. The Seeds will be immediately “planted” on their account. “Planted” Seeds determine your transaction bandwith (1 transaction per week for each Seed planted). Additional Seeds can be planted at any time. “Unplanting”, making them “usable” again, will take up to 12 weeks. All but 5 planted Seeds (the cost of the creation of a blockchain account and forever reserving the account name) will be returned if you close the account.
Note: Feel free to send more Seeds if you feel that your invitee might want to bring more aligned people onto the network. Bear in mind that it might make sense to send this person 20 Seeds or more so that they can again invite three regenerative friends. Let’s call them Seedlings.
- Follow-up with your new Seedling and guide them in setting up a personal profile as a “visitor”. The next steps are becoming a Resident and ultimately a Citizen, which places more “voice” or “trust” in your voting status. Citizens may use their “trust tokens” to vote for Seeds-regenerating campaigns and supportive alliances. Read more about those here.
- Help your Seedling set up their profile and explain how they can move up to the next levels of Resident and Citizen in the game. Invite your Seedling to Discord, a chat platform. You can ask for help from Ambassadors in the discord forum channels. SEEDS Ambassadors who see your question or sense your arrival to the Discord SEEDS Server/ welcome chat may help you better navigate the Game of SEEDS.
- When your Seedling reaches the next level in their journey in the Game of SEEDS, they will feel excited, and you will be rewarded for it! Check the infographic for the current amounts paid out to you for both resident and citizen level. These rewards are paid out only when your invited one achieves the next steps. Don’t be mistaken. This is not Multi Level Marketing. Those schemes concentrate wealth, but SEEDS offers a gifting economy that continues to circulate through the system.
Earning Rewards by Onboarding Organizations
Organizations will need 200 Seeds to set up an account. If you are planning to onboard an organization, you will need to gift the Seeds, accompany the organization in how to buy the 200 Seeds needed to set up an organizational profile, or request your SEEDS Alliances + Ambassador Circle for the 200 Seeds needed to subsidize the creation of an organizational account.
Note: Until GoLive, SEEDS subsidizes any organization that wishes to become a SEEDS Alliance with 700 Seeds; 200 Seeds to set up the organization profile and 500 Seeds to create their first proposal. Request the 200 Seeds needed to set up an organization account from your Ambassador Circle if you are onboarding a SEEDS Alliance.
- Guide the organization to list their products or offers in the Marketplace
- Guide the organisation to create an Alliance Proposal
- Guide the organisation to create a Campaign Proposal
- Support the organisation to integrate the API (in the process of development) onto their Website or App.
- Support the organisation in inviting and onboarding their community
And with this last step you can earn referral rewards again!
Why Referral Awards?
These referral awards were designed into the Game of SEEDS as a way to compensate ambassadors (or other members of SEEDS) who invite other people and take the time to help them understand this new world. This act is incredibly valuable and SEEDS will compensate for this effort.
It has its limits though. This isn’t a “pyramid scheme” where “old money pays new money.” Eight percent of the initial supply of Seeds were set aside for referrals. The program is meant to be able to provide rewards for the first One Million Citizens and Residents who join.
We’re keen to get this “show on the road” and want to help reduce the feeling of risk you might be experiencing, so hopefully this lowers the barrier for you and your regenerative friends. You might be chuffed you joined when you did, because as our community grows the referral rewards amount maybe decreases (in Seeds amount, from 200.000 residents onwards, referral rewards are lowered) but may (as has been the case until now) increase in USD amount.
